Essence of Life

Contribute to the enrichment of people’s lives

(01)Sense of Accomplishment

The sense of accomplishment that comes with making full use of your car

Experience with arriving at one’s destination safely reduces the unease that vehicle occupants can feel about potential traffic accidents. In accordance with this principle, we offer drivers easy-to-understand operating environments, regardless of what advanced technologies are being used, and provide them with the feeling of satisfaction that comes with having vehicles operate the way the driver wants.

(02)Well-being Conscious

Spaces that protect both mental and physical health and that provide users with vitality

When people are in good physical, mental, and social shape, they can stay active and engaged. In accordance with this principle, we design spaces that keep users healthy, both mentally and physically, and provide them with vitality so that they can live lives with purpose and drive. For example, cabin temperatures are controlled, air quality is improved, and the air is disinfected to improve the physical health of vehicle occupants. Aromas, lighting, and musical therapy contribute to their mental health.

Health management using vital data

In accordance with this principle, we will offer appropriate care when the user’s physical condition is different from usual by analyzing their daily vital data (e.g., respiratory rate, heart rate, posture, facial expression) collected in vehicles. For example, if the data shows abnormalities when the user gets into a vehicle, the system will inform the user of changes in their physical condition and suggest what to do. If a disorder is suspected, the system will recommend the user to go to a hospital or receive an online diagnosis and provide the vital data as reference information for diagnosis if needed.

(03)Positive
Environmental Impact

Environmental conservation monitoring and visualization

Efforts such as vehicle energy management and CO2 reuse are increasingly being made to help achieve carbon neutrality. In accordance with this principle, vehicle energy management, CO2 reclamation, and other status information are visualized. This provides drivers with a true sense of how they are contributing to the environment.

Environmental contributions

In accordance with this principle, we provide mechanisms for motivating drivers to contribute to the environment, helping achieve carbon neutrality by changing driver behavior. For example, these include functions that improve air quality by driving and systems which can be used to provide energy generated by mobility to buildings and public facilities.

Creating opportunities to protect the environment

In accordance with this principle, we will provide systems to participate in environmental protection initiatives when users scrap their vehicles. For example, we will build a system that enables users to donate the batteries to public charging facilities when they scrap their electric vehicles. Users will be able to select where to donate batteries, knowing that their choice helps protect the environment.

Contributing to the environment through energy sharing

Effective utilization of green energy and energy supply from individuals to society help contribute to the environment. In accordance with this principle, environmental contributions can be made by supplying surplus energy to local communities. For example, when an energy shortage is likely to occur due to a local event or disaster, energy can be shared by drawing it from users’ vehicles.
