Designing experiences for users’ personal diversity

Previously, users were categorized based on demographic attributes, such as age and gender, but today it is necessary to offer personalized experiences because users’ values are diversifying. In accordance with this principle, we will offer experiences that integrate or expand multiple values of each individual to enrich their lifestyles. For example, when a user who is interested in history searches a route for a sightseeing tour, sites that match the user’s preferences will be added to the route in addition to the designated sites. When proposing a rest stop, a café along the route which has menu items matching the user’s preferences will be suggested, making it possible to offer exceptional travel experiences.

(02)Group-based Experience

Offering opportunities for new group-based experiences

People who have similar tastes tend to gather and share similar experiences. Enjoying the experiences of other people offers new findings. For example, if members of a premium brand community (group) generally like classical music, information about concerts will be given to those members who have not experienced concerts before to promote interactions and offer new experiences. In accordance with this principle, we will provide systems that make suggestions based on the preferences of groups that users join, enabling them to explore new experiences.

(03)Betweenness

Solving social issues by predicting the mutual influence between groups

In accordance with this principle, we will offer solutions for social issues by predicting the mutual influence between groups. For example, in an area suffering from overtourism, the influence will be predicted by analyzing the travel distance, time, route, and pattern of tourists to offer mobility services while taking into account traffic volume and convenience. We will also offer drive-through services to create eco-friendly communities in collaboration with shops that actively work on environmental measures.
